Preface: I found this unpublished draft from over two years ago. I don't recall who this "Miss Tea" is because I have known so many women who have lost weight, but I figure it would be a waste to not publish it now.
I set her up on a program. It was a very very basic program that was customized to her potential as this poor girl could not do one push-up. The program used no weights. She simply had to do various sets of movements that would challenge her body's muscles and cardiovascular system. Essentially, I put her on an interval program.
I saw her a few days back and she looked freaking awesome! She has very happy with herself and that made me very happy. Her pants looked loose around the thighs and the excess fat around the glutes were quickly retreating into nothingness!!!
Miss Tea. I deeply respect you. It is not easy to stick to a strict diet like the one I outlined for you. You, however, did it and saw results within the first two weeks! Excellent!
There is so much misunderstanding out there with respect to losing fat I made certain, Miss Tea was not one of these poor misinformed souls. These people generally go to the gym 3-4 times a week and run endlessly for an hour each time. For some strange reason, however, they see zero progress. There is a very obvious reason for this: diet.
Yes, diet.
Truthfully, you do not need to exercise to lose weight. If you want to lose fat, you can just eat right in terms of: 1) portion size, 2) frequency, and 3) food selection. This is enough for most people to lose fat. If, however, you want to become fit and look great, then you need to exercise. Diet alone can get you to slim down, but add to this regular exercise and you've now turbo-charged your engine - aka, metabolism - to burn fat all the time...even when asleep, according to some studies.
For Miss Tea, I told her to do both.
Here's her program ladies:
1) Diet
- drink plenty of water throughout the whole day, everyday - your pee should never be dark yellow but more light yellow to clear, if you are drinking enough water.
- no sugar of any kind from Mon-Fri & Sun. Instead, I suggested she use natures sugar = honey. Sat is an exception - this is her cheat day. On this day she can eat anything she wants as much as she wants. Yup. ANYTHING!
- make sure you eat a healthy, low-fat, well-balanced breakfast in the morning to start your metabolism right for the day.
- try to work out in the morning or afternoon if you can and ensure you do interval training. This is the real secret to looking fit and losing 3x more fat. Interval training for 20 minutes beats running on the treadmill for an hour. This is proven. Do the research. I lie to you not! This is the main reason she is showing such drastic results after two weeks.
- Any additional exercise she wants to add to her 20 minutes of daily interval training is nice but not necessary.
